2D interpretation made easy in OpendTect
Interpreting 2D lines can be complex and cumbersome. Usually the interpretation is done on multiple lines which make the process more lengthy and complicated.
In OpendTect we have streamlined this whole process, so that it is smooth and easy. Starting from setting up a project to importing numerous lines in just one go. 2D lines in OpendTect can be viewed in the main scene intersecting with other 2D lines, but they can also be visualized individually in a 2D viewer.
You can interpret discontinuity in seismic data using Fault sticks, which are segments created by two or more nodes or you can use our robust, revolutionary fault auto-picking attribute, the Thinned Fault Likelihood (TFL). The TFL attribute comes with the Fault & Fracture plugin, which aims to help interpreters produce an accurate and sharp 2D fault likelihood within minutes.
An interactive 2D auto-tracker is a great tool to interpret reflectors along lengthy 2D lines. In case the 2D auto-tracker is not feasible, you can take advantage of the 2D line-drawing option.
You can go even further and outline main stratigraphic geometries in 2D seismic sections by creating 2D HorizonCube and extract meaningful, detailed chronostratigraphy throughout the wheeler transform.
