Field Trip to Piesberg - Geothermal study
Today, we are heading out on a geological excursion to Piesberg, Germany, as part of our LUC (Low Unit Cost) geothermal investigation for the Municipality of Dinkelland (Denekamp).
We kicked off the day at our Enschede office with a short presentation before boarding the bus to visit an active quarry in Piesberg Germany. There, we’ll explore a rock formation that corresponds to the Tubbergen Formation, which we believe holds significant potential for geothermal energy production in Twente, The Netherlands.
We’re excited to be joined by interested parties from Cogas, Noaberkracht, ROC van Twente, and University of Twente — all excited to explore sustainable energy in our region.
