Let’s not forget that you do not always have to go “deep” in OpendTect’s Machine Learning applications. “Shallow” networks remain valuable in many workflows including but not limited to: seismic chimney detection (MLP network), waveform segmentation (UVQ network), and rock property predictions (MLP network). The slider compares Acoustic Impedance and Porosity in F3. The Porosity volume was created by a MLP network that was trained on AI and Porosity values extracted in a small time-gate sliding down these logs.
