You can save so much time by using inversion based trackers
“Inversion” and “Inversion+” are horizon trackers in OpendTect’s Dip-Steering plugin that are based on flattening the dip field. Both trackers create continuous horizons without loop-skips and without holes that need to be filled post-tracking by a gridding algorithm. If you don’t like an inversion-based horizon, you simply add more seeds and rerun the process until you are satisfied. This workflow is faster than conventional auto-tracking with time-consuming editing efforts.
“Inversion” only uses the dip-field (with planarity attribute as weight confidence) which makes this the algorithm of choice for tracking events with laterally changing amplitudes and phases (unconformities). “Inversion+” snaps user-picked seeds to an event and tries to stay on the event by adding new (snapped) seeds during the inversion process. Inversion+ is therefore the recommended tracker for tracking laterally consistent events.
