Getting Started
The OpendTect suite of programs are available as either commercial or free products.
The commercial products (OpendTect Pro and OpendTect Pro + Plugins) will only run with a valid license (available from the Pro Store), or, for evaluation purposes, on free data sets. The free version (OpendTect) runs without a license key.
All products are installed with the same installers downloadable below.
To install commercial - and free products on the same system, the commercial and free products must be placed in separate installation folders,
*Be sure to have at least 16 GB of RAM to run OpendTect, it might start with 8GB, but loading any kind of survey will require more RAM. Have a look at our before installing.

Please note that 4K/8K screens are not fully supported yet. This depends on the scaling factor. We are working on a fix.

This is a data access plugin for Petrel* which allows OpendTect Pro users to seamlessly exchange data to and from the Petrel* data store. This plugin has to be installed in Petrel* itself.
