You can investigate features like fluid effects by sorting traces on horizon depth. By grouping data according to the depth of a horizon, you can investigate subtle amplitude effects much better. the stack of each of these groups will deliver a trace that is representative for a depth on the horizon. When looking at traces of increasing horizon depth, you can often see brightening and dimming at certain levels. These effects are much more pronounced than in the original unstacked sections, and can very often be related to hydrocarbon effects, like flat spots.
